About me
Hi, I'm Flavio
Cycling photographer from Zeeland in the Netherlands. I raced myself from the youth categories up to amateur level; now I'm at the roadside with my camera.
- Based in Kapelle (Zeeland, NL)
- Freelance since 2025
- Dutch, English and Italian
From racing to the camera
I have been cycling for as long as I can remember. I raced from the youth categories up to amateur (sportklasse) level. That is where I learned how a race unfolds, where it is decided and what a rider goes through.
The camera was always there too. For years I photographed races alongside riding, first for myself, later also for riders who wanted their photos. In 2025 the first assignment came in, for the development teams of Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe, and since then I have worked as a freelance cycling photographer.
Because I have raced myself, I am where the moment happens. And I know how a team works: I never get in anyone's way. My father is Italian, so besides Dutch and English I also speak Italian.
